Coffee for T and T for Coffee

He is a classic example of Gods creation. Sports a "Choti", and is ever alert like a Dog. His fantastic conversation is inborn, a God's Gift. I bet you cannot defeat this person in communication or conversation. Guess who he is - The HR Person....No, The MArketing Exec. No, the communications Manager.......Noooooooooooooo....

Ok I wont stretch it like Ekta Kapoor. He is our office Boy - Puran. He eats half of the words he speaks and talking to him on phone is a mission altogather. If you are feeling bad or bored, its best to talk to him, he can perk up your dead spirits. But if you are busy and already irritared, it can take a toll on you to make him understand your thing.

When you find sounds "Coffee..Coffee...Coffee " and then find a Cup of Tea on your workstation, it has to be Puran. Well its been 4 months in this office, since I know him. I hope many of my colleagues would have far more interesting stories to tell about him.

Welcome Madam President

Although I am not happy the way this Presidential Election has taken course. It was quiet a show of power and politics. Why can't the people get to select their President?

Anyways, whatever has happened, I am happy about the fact that supreme commander of the armed forces is a Lady.

Men have been unfaithful, wrondg, curropt...what ever is your take on the candidate, Its time for the Ladies to have some serious command over the nation.

Because why should Men have all the power?

Ghosts and Angles...Do They Exist ?

The Brown LadyThis portrait of "The Brown Lady" ghost is arguably the most famous and well-regarded ghost photograph ever taken. The ghost is thought to be that of Lady Dorothy Townshend, wife of Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount of Raynham, residents of Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England in the early 1700s. The Raynham Hall mansion was the home of the Townshend family for over 300 years. Dorothy was the sister of Sir Robert Walpole, Charles' one-time partner with whom he had a falling-out.
It was also rumored that Dorothy, before her marriage to Charles, had been the mistress of Lord Wharton, "whose character was so infamous, and his lady's complaisant subserviency so notorious, that no young woman could be four and twenty hours under their roof with safety to her reputation." Charles suspected Dorothy of infidelity. And although according to legal records she died and was buried in 1726, it was suspected that the funeral was a sham and that Charles had locked his wife away in a remote corner of the house until her death many years later.
The famous photo above was taken in September, 1936 by Captain Provand and Indre Shira, two photographers who were assigned to photograph Raynham Hall for Country Life magazine. This is what happened, according to Shira:

"Captain Provand took one photograph while I flashed the light. He was focusing for another exposure; I was standing by his side just behind the camera with the flashlight pistol in my hand, looking directly up the staircase. All at once I detected an ethereal veiled form coming slowly down the stairs. Rather excitedly, I called out sharply: 'Quick, quick, there's something.' I pressed the trigger of the flashlight pistol. After the flash and on closing the shutter, Captain Provand removed the focusing cloth from his head and turning to me said: 'What's all the excitement about?'"
Upon developing the film, the image of The Brown Lady ghost was seen for the first time. It was published in the December 16, 1936 issue of Country Life. The ghost has been seen occasionally since.

Traffic Jam

I am experiencing a complete traffic jam. No its not in the blueline bus this time.

It is my ears that have jammed with so much wax.

What a shameful thing na...!

I am not able to hear properly and my Doc has adviced me to put in some ear drops to soften the wax that will make the cleaning process easy and less painful.

Because he could not clean the 'Rock Solid' wax acculumations in my ears.

Even more shameful..i am finding a pit to burry myself.

I have emptied almost more then half the bottle of the ear drops and just waiting for Wednesday to get them clean and gain my auditory senses back.

Sunday - The Expenditure Day

This Sunday truly was an expenditure day. I ended up spending a handsome ammount of money, but not on useless things, and enjoyed it.

First off, I got up 6.30 in the morning and went for my driving practice with my dad. What a bad start to a Sunday...getting up so early :-( . I drove it alone ... ofcourse with some guidance...for 15 kms. Then went back home and slep like a Cat. Wokeup 12 and went to the parlor. Then came back and went to meet a friend. (Who? , Keep Guessing .....)

We had pizza and did time killing and shopping. It was around 3.30 when I came back, and pounced on the PC to chat. The chatting went on for 2 hrs.

After that, I was after my DAD's life to get a DVD player. So, he finally gave in and we brought home an LG DVD player. By the time it was already 7. So, i just hanged out in the balocny and had an entertaining and interesting gossip session with mom.

The dinner was ready ans do I was to eat it. Then I had dinner and watched the free CD (that we got with the DVD player) and slept at 10.30.

I think it was the most productive Sunday I have ever had. Shopping, Driving, Friends, Chatting...a whole lot of activities...seems like the past quota of boring Sundays got compensated this time.

Romancing the Maidens

Rain drops just kissed me Good morning. It drizzling outside and I am sitting at my office :-( But it was such a great joy when I met the maidens called Rain -Drops. These maidens were at their blossom and spreading their youth around to bring life to a dead city and even more lifeless people.

I really felt drenching myself and dancing in the rain but I had to reach the office. Had it not been my office today, I would have surely made most of the beautiful weather.

I would insist that "If you think Sun brings brightness, You haven't danced in Rain".

What is Jihad for You?

What would you think when you hear a statement from a person "I am a Jihadi, jihad is one of main practices in my religion". In todays scenario, you would probably think that the person may be a terrorist. Its a sad picture that Jihad and terrorism have become synonymus.

What we understand today is just the iota of actual Jihad. According to a credible source, there are:

Jihad of the heart/soul (jihad bin nafs/qalb) is an inner struggle of good against evil in the mind, through concepts such as tawhid.
Jihad by the tongue (jihad bil lisan) is a struggle of good against evil waged by writing and speech, such as in the form of dawah (proselytizing), Khutbas (sermons), etc.
Jihad by the pen and knowledge (jihad bil qalam/lim) is a struggle for good against evil through scholarly study of Islam, ijtihad (legal reasoning), and through sciences (such as medical sciences).
Jihad by the hand (jihad bil yad) refers to a struggle of good against evil waged by actions or with one's wealth, such as going on the Hajj pilgrimage (seen as the best jihad for women), taking care of elderly parents, or political activity for furthering the cause of Islam.
Jihad by the sword (jihad bis saif) refers to qital fi sabilillah (armed fighting in the way of God, or holy war), the most common usage by Salafi Muslims and offshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood.

"I would rather walk then Boarding a Blue Line" - Sheila Dixit

Madam CM,

Would you take a moment to count how many Blue line buses are owned by Delhi Government ministers?

And by the way you would never need to board a blueline bus or even walk for a short journey. ITs after the High court thrashed the Delhi goverment, Delhi CM quoted the statement in public.

We will have to wait for 3 years either by offering our blood to the Death Line or by getting crushed inside the jam packed 'leagal' busses running on the roads.

A Wordless Communication

It was just another morning when I started from home and turned out to be extremely amazing one by the end of it as I reached office.

This Boy, around 4 - 5 years just sat with me in the Bus, along with his mother and little sister. Both of them eyed my earphones but did not say anything. The Boy was a true Moglie, he had springs all over his body, kept jumping up and down on the seat and eventually bumping into me every single minute.

I felt some discomfort in the begining but as soon as looked into his eyes, he gave me a naughty smile...an innocent one with sparkling eyes filled with mischief, and as a reflex action I smiled at him too. Whenever he would jump, I would look at him to scare him, but his cute mischievious smile made me smile too. This went on for half an hour.

Finally, I plugged an earphone in his ears and to my surprise, he sat quietly listening to the music and shying away in his mother's lap. It was such a great experience, his quietness talked to me in volumes and I replied right back...

Strage...! some people just cannot be ignored while smiling...rightly said by some one..."A smile is the shortest distance between two people..."

Emotions - Who controls who?

Sometimes I control the emotions and sometimes they keep me in control.

Strange are Human emotions, just take you to heaven and drop you from there. And those who are in control of their emotions never give them a chance to control themselves.
